Survival of the fittest

Posted on Mar 11, 2009 by admin

The big news in our industry this week is that two of the biggest mortgage brokerages in the UK are going out of business. Chase de Vere and Cobalt Capital both went into administration this week due to market conditions – so if any of you were clients of these companies (and not using Resident Broker – for shame) then we will welcome you with open arms. We may not have offices in Kensington but we are still going strong – our feeling is that in these times correct advice is more important than ever. And the feedback from you is that you seem to agree.

Tip of the week.
Do you want to cut you’re monthly costs?
Well, if you do I have a quick and easy way for you. If you don’t know how much you are paying on your mortgage protection e.g. life cover, critical illness then your probably paying too much. In fact can you even remember back to when you got your first residential mortgage down at the local Natwest bank all those days ago and they signed you up for life cover, critical illness etc. Well you should revisit it NOW – we had an example this week where one of our brokers saved a client 40% on like-for-like cover. What does 40% mean? – well, we are talking thousands of pounds over the life of the policy.
Get in touch now and see if we can “quote you happy” (actually, I despise that phrase)

P.S. You can still use the free link to Experian – in order to get your free credit file so here it is again but as a basic link: http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-3383908-10366643 (doesn’t look pretty but does the job – you can cut and paste into the address bar if the link doesn’t work)

What they say…

Wow! That's really quick. We went to see the property last Friday, agreed the purchase price on the same day. And now only one week later we got the mortgage offer confirmed! Thank you so much for your help. I've already instructed my solicitor to proceed asap.

- Ann Tang, July 2011

"Thank you again for all your advice. You took me through all my options clearly and simply and its great to know you guys specialise in property investors. I've now recommended you to two of my friends already!"

- Steve Standen, March 2011

“I just want to tell you how fantastic Gary has been...I just want to tell you how happy I am and how I will be returning again. I have already recommended a friend who has a nice deposit lined up waiting for a good mortgage.”

- Helen Marshall, May 2011
